My mom recently bought lots of cassava tapai from a seller around my house. Then she told me to make some cake from this tapai. I never make a cake with tapai as the main ingredient. So, i look for several tapai cake recipes. And, here goes what i've got...
What you need :
500 gr cassava tapai
400 gr flour
400 gr margarine
250 ml milk
180 gr cheddar cheese
250 gr sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
9 eggs
First, mix cassava tapai + milk with your blender until soft and creamy. Don't forget to throw away the cassava stem. Then, mix margarine, sugar, and salt in another bowl use your mixer, and mix it with the cassava tapai. After the mixture blend perfectly add 3 tablespoon of flour, then add eggs one after one and mix it together. Last thing to do is put the grated cheese and flour, mix it with medium speed.
Then, layer the baking pan with margarine so the cake wouldn't sticky to the pan. Last but not least, pour the dough to a baking pan and toast on a stove about 45 minutes. Then the tapai cake is ready to serve. Happy baking, everyone! :)
